The Eras Tour: Starbucks Edition

Recently, I've seen some stores put out drinks inspired by Taylor Swift's Eras Tour.

I wanted to take it a step further. With some help from friends, I developed a menu that references specific songs on each album. I created a physical board at my store, but wanted to share the ideas without doxxing myself.

Most are cold drinks to fit summer, but all coffee-based options can be modified into warm ones!

All milks can be substituted as well.

Here's how to order & the inspiration behind each cup:

COLD AS YOU

Vanilla Bean Frappucinno with caramel drizzle

A sweet treat to kick off Taylor's debut album, frozen to honor the chilly rain Taylor describes.

FEARLESS

Iced blonde vanilla latte

Blonde shots call back to this album's iconic cover & titular song. While one of the more basic recipes on this list, the blonde vanilla latte is a popular choice (You Belong With Me) and a classic, dependable drink. (Though, feel free to swap this out with an Oleato variant if you're really feeling daring.)

BACK TO DECEMBER

Iced mocha latte with whipped cream (opt. peppermint)

Have Christmas in July with this summer-ized version of a hot chocolate! I'm not a peppermint fan myself, but feel free to add a few pumps of the toothpaste-flavored syrup if that's your perogative. For a more indulgent treat, you can swap the latte with a peppermint mocha Frappuccino.

ALL TOO WELL

Hot/iced coffee with cinnamon dolce syrup & cream

"Sipping coffee like you're on a late night show." C'mon. It writes itself. I chose to keep the ATW drink simple, adding a few pumps of cinnamon dolce for the fall vibes. (Autumn leaves fallin' down like pieces into place.) Cream to lighten, because things were good once. (Back before you lost the one real thing you've ever known.)

OUT OF THE WOODS

White chocolate macadamia cream cold brew

How could I not use our one drink with a tree-inspired flavor? It tastes vaguely of Lucky-Charms marshmallows, if that's your thing. This drink really doesn't go any deeper than surface level.

GETAWAY CAR

Nitro cold brew with one pump of white mocha and vanilla sweet cream

The ties were black, the lies were white. A touch of sweetness to curb the fast-acting & and strong taste of the mermaid's nitrogen-infused iced coffee alternative. Nitro has a smooth feel, but a short shelf life; not unlike this song's Bonnie & Clyde.

LOVER

Pink drink with vanilla sweet cream cold foam

This drink is tooth-achingly sweet and very delicious. It's pastel-pink hue is a nod to this album's entire aesthetic. If you're lucky, a freeze-dried strawberry might even be shaped like a heart.

LAST GREAT AMERICAN DYNAS-TEA

Black iced tea, brown sugar, vanilla sweet cream

I'll admit, the wordplay is what really sold me on this track for a folklore drink. That, and the fact that this recipe is one of my personal go-to's. It's not as great as boba tea- few things are- but it's a delightful little homage.

GOLD RUSH

Earl grey tea, honey, cream

"It fades into the grey of my day old tea." As a die-hard evermore fan, this was my proudest creation. Golden honey to sweeten a warm & comforting cup of hot black tea.

LAVENDER HAZE

Dragon drink with vanilla sweet cream cold foam

This bright purple drink is a fun & fruity homage to one of the happier songs on this album. You can opt out of the cold foam if it's too sweet for you, but I think it's a cool callback to her stage set pieces for this track.

SURPRISE SONG

KARMA (FT. ICE SPICE)

Iced chai tea latte with oat milk & cinnamon dolce topping

This is self-explanatory and also genius. (And all credit for it goes to my ex. Thanks May.)
